Mountain Bluebird (Sialia currucoides) is a medium-sized (16-20 cm), sky-blue bird that nests in cavities and eats insects and seasonal fruits. They live in mid- to high-elevation open areas including prairies, mountain meadows and forest edges throughout the western U.S., Canada, and Mexico, from Alaska down to Querétaro, Mexico.
