Sonoran Mud Turtle (Kinosternon sonoriense) is a small (22 cm carapace length) freshwater turtle that live in streams, springs, ponds, and pools from Arizona and southwestern New Mexico to Sonora and western Chihuahua, Mexico. Their primary threat is predation from non-native fauna including Bullfrogs (Lithobates catesbeianus), Largemouth Bass (Micropterus salmoides), and Crayfish (Orconectes virilis).
