Tularosa Springsnail (Juturnia tularosae) is a small (shell height 1.7-4.8 mm) freshwater snail that is only found in the central reach of Salt Creek of the northern Tularosa Basin in Sierra County, New Mexico. Their habitat in Salt Creek has variable flow and water temperature and is saline – it is high in both alkalis (sodium and potassium) and chlorides.
