Ruidoso Snaggletooth Snail (Gastrocopta ruidosensis) is a small (shell length up to 4.5 mm) terrestrial snail that only occurs on the eastern slopes of the Sacramento and Sangre de Cristo Mountains of eastern New Mexico. They are commonly found in bare soil, under stones, and in thin layers of vegetative litter at mid-elevation cliffs and limestone grasslands. Most specimens have been collected from the Tularosa and PeƱasco Canyons.
