New Mexico Hot Springsnail (Pyrgulopsis thermalis) is a tiny (shell length up to 2 mm) hot spring-restricted snail that is only found in two thermal springs of the Gila River in the Gila Wilderness of New Mexico. They inhabit steep or vertical rocks covered with thin sheets of water and prefer water temperatures of 33-35°C.
