
Western Yellow Bat (Lasiurus xanthinus) is a medium-sized (13 cm) buffy-yellow bat that is distributed from southwest New Mexico around Guadalupe Canyon to southern California, south through Mexico. They are found in riparian areas and pinyon-juniper woodland. They prefer to roost in trees and may travel more than 22 km from their roosts.
