Suckermouth Minnow (Phenacobius mirabilis) is a small (6 cm), widespread fish that occurs through much of the Mississippi River basin and in tributaries to the Gulf of Mexico in Texas. It is found in the Canadian River, Cimmaron, and Vermejo rivers in New Mexico. They inhabit riffles and runs in clear to moderately cloudy creeks and small to medium rivers with sand, gravel, or rubble bottoms.
