Knobblip Fairy Shrimp (Eubranchipus bundyi) is a large (up to 25 mm) branchiopod found in montane, clear, cool to cold freshwater pools and ephemeral catchments in the southwest. They filter organic matter from the water and scrape algae off rocks and other substrates. Though globally secure, it is imperiled in NM, likely due to ephemeral, disjunct populations and a lack of suitable habitat.
