Versatile Fairy Shrimp (Branchinecta lindahli) is a large (12 mm) freshwater branchiopod that is distributed in southwestern Canada, through the western United States and into northern Mexico. In New Mexico it is found in alkaline ephemeral wetlands and pools in the Rio Grande and Pecos river basins.
