Straightbacked Clam Shrimp (Eocyzicus digueti) is a large freshwater branchiopod that is distributed through the Southern desert U.S. states and northern Mexico. In New Mexico they are found in Hidalgo and Otero counties where they inhabit temporary wetlands, pools, and playas.
