Cassin’s Finch (Haemorhous cassinii) is a small (16 cm) stocky songbird of the western interior mountains from central British Columbia down into the Sierra Madres of Mexico. They are found in open coniferous forest, but during the winter and migration can also be found in deciduous woodland and brushy habitats. They eat primarily seeds.
