Black Swift (Cypseloides niger) is a large (18 cm) swift that often can only be identified in the hand. Though their range is large (from Alaska to northern South America along the western coast and in the Caribbean isles), few nest localities have been identified. They nest in cliffs and caves near water and are most commonly found nesting behind waterfalls.
