Lowland Leopard Frog (Lithobates yavapaiensis) is a medium-sized (up to 8 cm) frog that is distributed across Arizona and just over the state and international borders into Nevada, California, southwestern New Mexico, and Mexico. They live in small streams and rivers, springs, and associated pools at low elevations in desert scrub habitats. They may also inhabit riparian areas in grasslands, chaparral, and evergreen woodlands. Populations are in decline everywhere except central Arizona.
