Sangre De Cristo Peaclam (Pisidium sanguinichristi) is a tiny (shell length up to 3.2 mm) freshwater clam that is only found in Middle Fork Lake in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico. It lives in the mud along emergent grasses in sheltered embayments and at the lake outlet. It eats small algae and other organic matter via filter-feeding.
